As a registered psychologist and yoga therapist, my focus is on providing the necessary tools to assist individuals in moving towards optimal health. I believe that everyone has the innate capacity for healing. My role is to assist clients in discovering inner wisdom and identifying personal strengths that support resiliency. I am flexible and creative when implementing treatment plans as I believe each client's needs are individual and specific. I rely on various theories and approaches such as client-centred, solution focused, cognitive behaviour therapy, mindfulness-based approaches, EMDR, Child and Family Traumatic Stress Intervention, Trauma Focused CBT, family systems theory, and filial therapy. I am compassionate, relationship orientated, knowledgeable and dedicated. My goal is to create a safe and caring environment for clients. Many individuals that I work with are able to resolve most concerns within 6-8 sessions. I have over 10 years' experience working with individuals in a variety of therapeutic settings.
I specialize in working with children, adolescents and adults, who aspire to manage stress, work through past traumas, address life's challenges and live their lives to their true potential.
I have been working as a yoga therapist for 7 years. I completed training through Mount Royal University and received further training during my five months study at Yoga Vidya Gurukul in India. I have found my training in yoga to be complementary to my work as a psychologist.
